Getting To The Scottish Highlands

By Plane

Inverness is the Highland Capital and is well connected by flights and trains to the rest of the UK and beyond.

There are direct daily flights from either London Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton airports as well as from Bristol in the south of England and from Manchester in the North. Also daily direct flights from both Dublin and Belfast airports in Ireland.

From the Continent there are daily direct flights from Amsterdam.

By Plane and Train

Alternatively it may be easier for you to fly to Edinburgh or Glasgow airports and then go by train to Inverness. The train journey takes approximately 3.5hrs through wild and stunning scenery.

By Car

It is much slower to arrive here by car, although very scenic as you come north!

We are approximately 10hrs drive from London, 7hrs from Manchester and 3hrs from Edinburgh. Please note that there are no motorways north of Perth and driving is much slower on single carriageways.
